"State Of Flow" is an album that rides more on the bands emotional rock side than on it's hardcore underbelly, and this is something that in a new kind of way ads up to the sensitive quality of the album and No Fun At All's music. The staying power of NFAA extrovert music and nifty sing-a-longs, coupled with mostly sad emotional lyrics that touches both the inside and outside world of singer Ingemar`s life, is as always very immediate and adhesive. This time though with more delicacy and with an even bigger potential to appeal to everyone.

When NFAA was on the verge of breaking up about a year ago (but ended up just getting a new guitarist) little did anyone expect that they would 'find must' and come back on the wagon trail with their fourth and best album so far. A record that stands strong and firm in the over-crowed pop-punk market, as NO FUN AT ALL anno 2000 don't follow the designated path.

Since the debut-MCD release of "Vision" in 1993, Sweden's premier hardcore pop-punkers NO FUN AT ALL has grow into a tight, intensive and frantic mean killing machine. Something that has been proved on hard-exercised tours all across the globe.

Started out by main-songwriter, former guitarist now bass-player and Black Sabbath/Paul Simon freak Mikael Danielsson, NO FUN AT ALL managed to get out of kindergarten very quickly. This despite not being especially serious or dedicated at first, things changed very quickly when Burning Heart Records (as one of the labels very first releases), decided to release the "Vision" single. Originally meant to be a 'hope-we-can-sell-all of them' initial press of 1 000 copies, the single has since gone on to sell an amazing +25 000 copies (not bad for a debut EP). Safe to say it totally paved way for what was later to come, both in success for NFAA as for Burning Heart and the whole Swedish hardcore/punk explosion that followed.

Today, seven years and three albums later ("No straight angles" 1994, "Out Of Bounds" 1995, "The Big Knockover" 1997 and the fourth album "State Of Flow" in the pipeline (April 2000), and with album sales of +250 000 to boast with, NFAA has become an established unit all over the world. A band a

In the beginning the influences from bands like BAD RELIGION and 7 SECONDS and other Californian punk bands were quite obvious, but the band have certainly developed their own sound more and more every album. There has and will always be strong influences from the English new wave scene (MAGAZINE, ELVIS COSTELLO, XTC, THE JAM etc.) and the 70's/80's hard rock scene (BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN etc.) in NFAA's approach to music. Naturally bands like DEAD KENNEDYS, BLACK FLAG, CIRCLE JERKS, POISON IDEA and the RAMONES has also fed the soul and fuel of inspiration for NO FUN AT ALL.
